I noticed Cactus has not made a topic for Saru in these forums. I was playing it and I thought it was a lot of fun. However, it's annoying how you can't save. I'd like to be able to save around the time that you get the black ninja. I also liked the graphics and music. It reminded me of oldschool Japanese consumer electronics for some reason.

Yeah, I like it too. But no many others do, I believe. I wanted to add save points, but at that time I wasn't able to figure out a quick solution and gave up. The game was after all made for a 24hr competition

Well, you could always go back and add some save points (If you have the GMD, GM6, GMK, whatever file format you used) and release and updated version?

I don't know, part of the reason the game is unique is that you have to beat it in one go.

Well... sure... but I happened to get stuck because I didn't break enough blocks with the monkey when first switching to the ninja, so the ninja could get out fine but couldn't get back in at all. So for situations like that, I would say, sacrifice a bit of the uniqueness for playability.

Yeah, I noticed that. You can also get stuck if you jump between rooms. The game seems to have quite a few not too apparent bugs, unfortunately. If I've got the source still, then I might give the game an update, Might add some misc graphics to make it look more interesting while I'm at it.

Also, fuchuzz, さく (saku) commonly means works. 正解は「さる」って言って。

Climbing up walls is a cool feature, how the hell did you get that to work?
