Me and a friend in school created this game in a game competition at our university. we learned how to use gamemaker in the one week that we had to make a game, so it was a bit difficult. anyways, this is what we came up with. there is still a lot of stuff we would like to add and polish up but this is playable. I am hoping to get some feedback as to what is good, and what needs to be changed or added. the game can be found at the bottom of the page here design.engr.uvic.ca/student-projects/dec/vgdc/vgdc2008/games/ps. it says 3 members in the team but 1 of them did nothing so it was actually 2. also, this game is pretty hard, but there are no lives and you resume every room at the beginning so it is pretty forgiving. pps. we lost by 1 measly vote. ( the winning team bribed the highschool kids who came in to test the games with candy.) ppps. im not that bitter. a little bit.

That's a pretty awesome game you got there. Some minor improvements would make it a lot easier to get into; the view border is set kind of low, so you have to go too far towards the edge of the screen before it starts scrolling, which is annoying. And maybe there could've been more animated objects in the levels. But overall, I really enjoyed it. I got stuck a few levels after you pick up the heavy dude. Dunno how you could get past it... Would like to play more, but I don't have time at the moment. If there's any possibillity you could add some slight polish to it, I'd love to post it on the indiegames.com/blog (if you want me to) I could recompile the executable if you want to get rid of the annoying GM thing that shows up while loading the game (as well as offer any other help you might want). Great game, keep it up!

Wow, that was pretty cool. I'll play more later too. What is that PIE file though?

yeah i totally see what you mean with the view border. gonna fix that. THat would be soo awesome if it was posted on indiegames.com/blog. I'll try and get it fixed up as quick as i can. I forgot to add that it was made with gamemaker lite as well. I think I'm gonna upgrade to pro very soon.
i'm pretty sure i know the part that you got stuck at, I can give you a tip if you would like. In retrospect that part just kinda comes outta no where.
and the PIE file is for glovepie. A blootooth program thing that you can use, among other things, to make wiimotes work with your computer.
