I noticed in "Clean Asia" there were great vector graphics. I'm just curious, how do you do these? Is it hard?

Actually, almost all the graphics in Clean Asia consists of sprites. The reason being that it's not as straining for the game, and it's slightly easier to program. Most people can't tell the difference either, so it doesn't really matter

But in one of the bosses (The heart one I think, I haven't played the game in a while so excuse me if I get something wrong) if you shoot a section of the heart, it dissapears. How can you have a sprite for every single combination of missing pieces of heart?

I have a sprite of a square with a subimage for each missing side(s) possible, and then do some collision checking to see what subimage each square should have. These squares then form the shapes of the bosses together. It's a bit complex, but doing it with vectors would be worse

i actually do alot of reall vector based games and use sprites as collision masks, i can see why you have vector"Based" graphics, for ne its easier to create games.
