I desperately hope you guys are up on Derek Yu's awesome roguelike proc-gen adventure game called Spelunky. He's now up to version 0.99.9, and it has a functional level editor and a small community tooling with it. It's excellent fun. You die a lot, but fun nonetheless. It's just too bad I suck at this game. It's really hard. Really, really hard.

I know. I've never made it past level 5, and that was on a very good day.
But you slowly get better at avoiding stuff as you play, so I suppose it's possible.

My little brother has played it to death and recently beat the game!
But I quit after level three or four, just wasn't interesting enough for me. Though the graphics were punchy and the level generator is a huge accomplishment.
That said, I am a huge fan of Derek Yu's work. Have you all played Eternal Daughter?

I keep dying in this game. But part of the joy is watching myself fall stupidly into a cunning trap and go "ohh, that's clever!"

I found it kind of dull at first but then I played with the level editor and started buying items rather than just saving up for some unknown goal, and it became much more varied to play.
