I've been meaning to make a game out of Arms, but I haven't touched it for quite a while... Feels like I should at least add a few enemies and a few levels, since it was a pretty fun concept. Dunno when I'll get around to it, though

If any 3 of your games were to be put on an Arcade machine, which ones would you put?

Have you ever tried Multimedia Fusion or other software by Clickteam for making games?
I liked Precision as well. How did you make the sun react to the music like that? (I am very new to Game Maker at the moment).

If any 3 of your games were to be put on an Arcade machine, which ones would you put? Depends on the machine. Two analouge sticks and I'd include The Design. Otherwise, Clean Asia!, Fractal Fighter and Burn The Trash. Never tried any software by Clickteam. I'm pretty happy with GM at the moment, so I don't see any reason to switch. The sun in Precision was made by analyzing a music track via a DLL called JBFmod.

Is it possible to win "Ted's Wet Adventure"? I just came to the big guy who says he wants to eat me, and I can't kill him with my coconuts... I can only end the game by getting eaten.

What is a good dialogue script? I'm looking for a script like the one in Ted's Wet Adventure, but it doesn't have to be shakey, if you could kindly provide something for me.

I have a similar question to TGOC's. I want to use a lot of text in the game I'm making and seem to be having a lot of trouble coming up with any efficient way to present it. Any chance of having a look at the source for Psychosomnium, perhaps? Anywhere else to point me? While I'm talking anyway, I am so happy about your constant creation of enjoyable, short games. That they're short is actually a nice thing, especially considering the sorts of games they tend to be. Thanks. -Valzi

tgoc: Sorry, I read your post while tired and didn't understand it. Forgot to re-read it when I was less tired Dialogue Script: Create Event: line[0]="This dialogue script..." line[1]="..is easy and efficient!" lines=1 current=0 letter=0
Keypress Event (your button) if letter<string_length(line[current]) { letter=string_length(line[current]) } else { if current<lines current+=1 else instance_destroy()//or whatever }
Draw Event if letter<string_length(line[current]) letter+=0.5 draw_text(x,y,string_copy(line[current],1,letter))

Oh thats fine. Glad you finally got to it. Thanks a lot man. Is it cool if I use this script in one of my future games?

Hey cactus, I am designing a game with GM7 Pro and I am curious about how you did the "streaming" effect in Siezure dome... If you could so enlighten me, I would be deeply obliged. Note, I am not looking to copy, I am simply looking to learn and be inspired.
Thanks a bundle!!

Sure, go ahead TGOC I used two surfaces to create that effect. Shaltif explained how you can make your own visualizations for music in GM and I kinda used his idea to create the BG effect.

Hey again cactus. Could you point me in the direction of those tutorials? I am a novice when it comes to visualizations and would really like to learn. Thanks!
