This was a brilliant experiment.
Glad to be a part of it.

I would buy physical copies of any of your serieses of games, but only if you can find some fixes for some of the severe issues Game Maker games have with Vista.
Random crashes, Explorer crashes, and graphical anomalies =/
Also T-Shirts!

I myself found him by accident. But his games are cool.

There's a Japanese indie developer named Kenta Cho, creator of ABA games. He makes excellent free curtain shooters. Not too complicated, but fun and straightforward. He also wrote and coded a coding library of curtain shooter bullet routines called 'BulletML', available free on his site. His website is here in English (all pages have English versions): www.asahi-net.or.jp/~cs8k-cyu/index_e.htmlThe best games are the Windows ones. rRootage is a good classic giant-boss-shoots-walls-of-bullets shmup. Torus Trooper is an intriguing 3D bent on the genre. Titanion gives you a weapon that increases points while increasing the frequency of bullets. Check them out, they're excellent fun.

I just went back and played Decontrologic. It certainly is a Cactus game.
Although it reminded me why I hate one aspect of GM games. More than once I mindlessly pressed Esc to get out of the computer screen in-game, and killed the game.

I found it kind of dull at first but then I played with the level editor and started buying items rather than just saving up for some unknown goal, and it became much more varied to play.

Thanks! I just did it as a crappy mockup, so I can fix the colours later.
Also, I have to buy a top hat with a red ring around it

I know. I've never made it past level 5, and that was on a very good day.
But you slowly get better at avoiding stuff as you play, so I suppose it's possible.

I would like to screen this as a shirt, just for myself, with your permission. If not, no worries. But I just think it would make an awesome shirt.

I desperately hope you guys are up on Derek Yu's awesome roguelike proc-gen adventure game called Spelunky. He's now up to version 0.99.9, and it has a functional level editor and a small community tooling with it. It's excellent fun. You die a lot, but fun nonetheless. I have never had a dream in which I died from my point of view, but I had this one dream recently where I kept running into situations where I was about to die, but every time I was about to get hit by something or whatever, I would switch perspective to a nearby clone of me who would see the other die and always say 'Now why'd he go and do that?'
Upon waking with those words in my head, I immediately realized they were from Psychosomnium.

My only complaint about your games I'd say is that while the shmups are simple and effective at being fun, the adventures are also really short. GCTTC had closure and was fine in that respect, but Psychosomnium really left me wanting more, and I saw potential for more. A while ago you said you were considering taking on a longer project or two, and I would suggest a longer adventure game.
