Cactus, just wondering what you thought of old school style 2D fighting games, ex. Street Fighter, King of fighters, or games like Final Fight and River City Ransom (games ive been playing lately)
i wanted to know if youve ever thought about making a game like that with your own style and twist
and to the followers if you would enjoy playing a game like that, i know i would
feel free to say what you feel

I think I'd like to see that. Not so much a Cactus Street Fighter (unless he wants to do large sprites else maybe cos I loves Street Fighter) but the River City Ransom template would be great to do I think. Plenty of opportunity for weird moves/events, humor and character speech text that's shown at the bottom of the screen in RCR.
Hope this post makes sense. I feel really dizzy right now.

yea i wasnt thinking of a traditional street fighter just any kind of 2D fighting game with any kind of fighters, and the fighters could be whatever cactus would do, not necessarily human, actually i would probabally like cactus's characters better than a bunch of macho guys, not to dish street fighter, because i know thier is alot of hype for street fighter 4, i would still would want cactus to go his own way with it if he ever decided to
i think that would be a cool side project, a RCR or Final Fight type game would be different from his other small games, because i like all types of games you know ill play anything
Just a suggestion you can take it or leave it
i hope this also makes sense

I've tried to make fighting games a few times, getting more insight on how it would work with every project. But so far, I've been unsuccessful with making them fun to play, which is why they've always come to a halt. I will make a fighting game eventually, though. I really like fighting games

WOW...didn't expect that response...I'm sorry...is this the wrong place to ask that question? Is there another Cactus forum or something? Cause all I found was this place and plant related forums. Lynns Legacy walkthrough was mentioned at indy gamers and they said it was at cactus' forum....

There is a complete walkthrough over at cactus' forum for those who find the strange puzzles too .... I would ask them but they haven't had action on there FAQs since 2005... Sorry to bug ya.

It'd be really funny to see the Priest and Mickey Dole kicking the crap out of each other in a fighting game.

I was thinking about doing this sort of thing the other day, but you have to use ALL of the characters including that one guy without arms from the "small adventure game" which I can't think of the name right now... Uhh you control a robot in one section and there is a lady with dancing boobs.
