No, really, why name "cactus"? Was it for some reason or was it just random?

I made a comic where to characters were named cactus, and then when I registered on my first game development forum (gamemakergames.com) I had to choose a nickname and that was the first that came to mind. Not a very interesting story, sorry to say.

Maybe we have been brainwashed to love pink. Something about pink and light blue that seems familiar..

(Whoops, accidentally modified ml's post instead of reply)
Right now it's Pink. I kind of hate blue, but it looks good together with pink. And I also like white and black.

Wish I had time to make games... but then I realize every time I make a game, I lose focus (because of school and procrastinating on becoming a master engineer/programmer.) Just wondering: do you have a busy lifestyle? or ample free time to be flexible? oh and also... what is the song name to BlockOn! ? I love the fluidity of it (yes that's a word.)

Your latest game Air Pirates was made in Flash right? Was it your first Flash game and how do you think it compares to Game Maker as a tool for creating games? Do you find it more enjoyable, easy and flexible or is it a pain in the ass in comparison? I'm curious if you'll be shifting more towards flash games as opposed to GM games, or if there are any other engines/tools you've been eyeing up?

It was his first original flash game. Lo-fi minds did make a flash version of xWUNG and Minubeat.

The only reason to use Flash is if you want to make money. So far, Flash hasn't been a lot of fun to work with. I might get used to it though. But I will keep doing GM games for sure.

well, I'm pretty sure it doesn't do games but the is a program called Synfig ( www.synfig.org/Main_Page ) that allows flash animation for those not willing to put down the ridiculously large amount of cash for flash. Update! SInce this isn't a animation site try out FlashDevelop with the flex SDK ( www.flashdevelop.org/wikidocs/index.php?title=Main_Page ) everything is on the wiki to get you started. You might also want to use the Flixel API for this ( www.flixel.com ) it doesn't allow vector (very well at least) but it is pretty easy to learn and the games made from it so far are pretty cool.

Hey,Cactus!
Are you by any chance related to Hampus Soderstrom, the creator of toribash?I was supprised to see him in your subscribers. You strike me as the sort of person who wouldn't play toribash.

I don't play Toribash. I tried, but I didn't have the patience and the hardware to get into it. He posted trailers for a game called Glitch Racer which got me excited, and that's why I subscribed.
I've met him twice at GDC, and he's a cool guy, but we're (unfortunately) not related.
