As a testament to my rapidly vanishing sanity, I've decided to record a short movie based on Mondo Medicals speech (with some minor changes). The movie was produced using my digital camera, me, a banana, and RAD Video Tools. rapidshare.com/files/88433934/mondomedicalsmovie.zip.htmlSize: 12.5 MB Enjoy - especially if you're cactus

I've always wondered how much of your archetypal speeches are cunningly crafted nonsense or whether not being a native English you can just switch off you ability to speak English accurately.
Personally, being a native English speaker, I can make up a lot of things which don't make sense but I can't even come vaguely close to the disturbing and bizaare things in some of your games.

in mondo medicals dont say words in sound only in a text and the relator says. . . . . . . . fasdjvjeipohksaohkortjsnmvmnfdkigjñsakgmnrjvjakñltjriobjsritjfsdscmvjknrrnfvnvns<fklj. . . . . . or something like that : )

jeru: Actually, I was quite inspired when writing some of the dialouge in the Mondo games. I was influenced by Twin Peaks (the dwarf in the red room), Portal and Killer 7, basically. Although the idea was at first that you'd go get an evaluation (verbal abuse) after each level, I kinda felt that this was better. One of the keyfactor to what makes it creepy is that he's not talking in english. It's impossible to tell if he's actually saying what the subtitles translate or not, and if the weird grammar/spelling errors are because of the translation or what he's actually saying. And the camera probably adds a lot to it. Just the dialouge in text form isn't too convincing.

Strangely, I've never viewed the subtitles as a translation - but that adds a whole new level of interpretation (and discredits my movie a bit ) And one garbled speech fragment in Mondo Agency sounds a bit like "I often dream...". Ps. I've recently found this.

Hmmm... A very odd movie. It doesn't scare you as much as the game does, but nice work You did well changing your voice to fit the dialogue. The only thing that didn't fit was "LISTEN! LISTEN! LISTEN!". It should have been more like an insane noise.

Thanks. I sincerely didn't know what to do with the "Listen x3" part I'll make sure to use more bananas next time for more scare.

Lol, I love madamluna's LP's. Actually, they're (sort of) how I first got turned onto Mondo, and thereby, all the rest of Cactus' brilliance.
