i think that you should definitely make some long games, but you should make small ones whenever you get bored with long ones. wow, that made no sense at all.

The thing I love about all those short games of yours is the incredible variety and creativity. I can play Mondo Medicals, Xoldiers, Fractal Fighter and Decontrologic and get four very unique, striking and fun experiences, though those four all have a rather bleak, stylised visual style. The problem is that sometimes I finish one of your games and I feel as though I've barely started: that the concept would really benefit from being strung out to an hour or so and stretched to its limits. Psychosomnium and Decontrologic both felt a bit like this: it was almost like I'd been given the core of the idea, but that it wasn't extrapolated. It was sort of like reading a short story which would later be written into a novel (though of course I'm not suggesting you should go back and lengthen all your games!) Perhaps you should make short games until one idea, which you've turned into a short game, really grabs you in such a way that it would really benefit being turned into something longer? Though that might be a bit too clinical, and take the fun out of it. Of course, this thread is a little old now so you've probably come to your own conclusions by now

No I still find this kind of feedback rewarding and interesting. I should probably do what you say actually, and I've been trying to with BDTUW

cool! so BDTUW is still alive!? I thought you got tired of it or something cause the lo-fi minds website hasn't been updated since December D: what about brave karma warriors o.0? btw, I voted for the "just as long as they aren't bad" one.
