jeru: Actually, I was quite inspired when writing some of the dialouge in the Mondo games. I was influenced by Twin Peaks (the dwarf in the red room), Portal and Killer 7, basically. Although the idea was at first that you'd go get an evaluation (verbal abuse) after each level, I kinda felt that this was better.
One of the keyfactor to what makes it creepy is that he's not talking in english. It's impossible to tell if he's actually saying what the subtitles translate or not, and if the weird grammar/spelling errors are because of the translation or what he's actually saying. And the camera probably adds a lot to it.
Just the dialouge in text form isn't too convincing.
