Some games broken in Windows 7
« Thread Started on Feb 21, 2010, 7:36pm »

Am I the only one who has problems with This Is Infinity, Ad Nauseam 2, and SeizureDome under Windows 7? They all have different problems:

In This Is Infinity, the objects leave black trails, rather than glowy trails.

In Ad Nauseam 2, the blur effect is missing, the graphics have weird garbage around them, and the framerate tends to be around 4-6 FPS.

In SeizureDome, the blurring and distortion effects are gone.

All of these games worked perfectly under Vista. Compatibility mode hasn't helped a bit.

I have tried a handful of Cactus games and find that the majority of them don't work at all, it automatically comes up saying it has crashed, I am also running Windows 7. If you figure anything out, please let me know!

I just got to playing Ad Nauseam 2 and I've found something interesting.

Graphical glitches and garbage appear only when I'm running on my dedicated graphics card. When I switch off the Nvidia on my laptop, it runs fine and perfectly smooth on intel gma. I ran the game at school on Nvidia and it also appears, regardless of OS (XP and win7).

If someone can confirm by testing it on an ATi card. This could be a problem with game maker or whatever. My guess is whatever he's using for blurring in gm doesn't work on Nvidia.
