Cactus... is there any news on Tuning? I *ADORED* it when I played it back at the 2010 IGF and am dying to get my hands on a copy - completed or not.

Alexander Brandon for Hotline Miami sequel s/t
« Result #3 on Apr 27, 2013, 12:03pm »

Was chatting with Alexander Brandon, the composer/audio director of Deus Ex, among others, when the notion of extant indie projects that would benefit from his style came up - figured I'd pop over here and mention his name - I'm pretty sure he'd love to throw a few tracks at HM's sequel if you're looking to expand your set of musicians.

He's good with an eighties-nineties synthetic style that could fit rather nicely, particularly for non-combat/interlude sequences.

Just a thought.

Responding to Tiger Mask post from Years ago!!
« Result #4 on Apr 25, 2013, 5:42pm »

Hi Cactus,

I saw your post on heartofmadness.net from a couple years ago: http://www.heartofmadness.net/forum/view....2f886fbc6d8e043

where you asked about Tiger Mask getting subtitled. I have good news, Hokuto No Gun are looking for the italian subtitles to Tiger Mask to translate directly to english. They already have the Japanese RAWs and just need the italian subtitles to make the project much more smoother. By any chance that you still have the italian dvds and are willing to help please let me know. I shot you an email as well because I too am looking forward to seeing an english sub to Tiger Mask.

Anyways, www.hokutonogun.com is the fansub group and if you have the dvds with italian subs, if you can rip the subs and send them over to HnG they can get started on this project. Let me know what you think!

GET DAFT PUNK FOR HOTLINE MIAMI 2!
« Result #5 on Apr 20, 2013, 5:17pm »

You seriously need Daft Punk to make a song or two for Hotline Miami. They've got that "neo-80s" style that would fit Hotline Miami 2 perfectly.

Fuck, I'm getting excited just thinking about it.

the crazy thing about hlm is I beat it in 3 hours, but i just kept going back to playing levels over and over again that I'm now at 12+ hours. great gameplay in that game. loved the story and style the first time through, but now when i'm playing it i just skip that shit and play for the pure thrill of the game play. I should try following the story through in one setting again, it was good to play the game as a whole

Hey guys it is April 10, 2013 and I was wandering if anyone still logs in . . . just saying, it is pretty dead right now. You can use this thread to say anything you want: vent, opinions, awkward things. Anything you want to say just say it here. Thank You

p.s. lets hope this goes on for a while

Game Of The Year All Years
« Result #9 on Mar 19, 2013, 11:43pm »

Buckle up.

Cactus,

In the next hotline game, after a player beats the game there should be a new option to play through the game with a western theme. Use all the same levels but re-skinned to be set in saloons with cowboys n such. Get the same musicians from hotline to make a hotline/western soundtrack. It will be double the game length and quadruple the satisfaction. I replay a hotline level occasionally, but only briefly and sporadically. The biggest complaint I see about hotline is "wow only 3 hours long." This would give the game major replay value.

You're lying if you don't think this is a good idea.

Cactus, how do you feel about Hotline Miami Let's Plays and the YouTube partnership monetization program? I've emailed you several times and I've never gotten a response to this, thanks :)
